Pumpkin Fest Returns to Downtown Dallas
Fall is returning to Downtown Dallas, and with it comes one of the community’s favorite Halloween traditions! Dallas Main Street is excited to announce the return of Pumpkin Fest, presented by First National Community Bank, a festive celebration that brings creative pumpkin displays, friendly competition, and plenty of Halloween spirit to Downtown Dallas.
Pumpkin Fest invites residents, families, neighborhoods, civic groups, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, local businesses, schools, sports teams, athletic clubs, and other community groups to design and decorate a pumpkin for display throughout Downtown Dallas leading up to Halloween.
Participation in Pumpkin Fest is free, making it a fun and creative way for local organizations and community members to showcase their personalities and talents while helping transform Downtown Dallas into a festive Halloween destination.
Pumpkin Fest is also an opportunity to give back to the local business community. Over the past two years, Pumpkin Fest has raised a total of $3,400 for the Downtown Development Authority’s BOOST Grant Program, which provides financial assistance to eligible downtown merchants for improvements, projects, and other approved business expenses. The program helps support local businesses and encourages continued investment in Downtown Dallas.
Last year’s competition featured an incredible collection of creative and imaginative pumpkins. Freedom Plumbing took home the 2025 People’s Choice Award, while TKO Plumbing Services was selected as the 2025 Mayor’s Choice. With last year’s winners setting the bar high, the competition is sure to bring even more creativity to Downtown Dallas this year.
“We love seeing our community come together for Pumpkin Fest,” said Dallas Main Street Manager Shannon Gordon. “It’s a fun way for everyone to be part of the Halloween festivities while also supporting our downtown businesses. The creativity displayed throughout downtown makes the season even more special, and knowing that the event has helped raise over $3,000 for our BOOST Grant Program makes it even more meaningful.”
Pumpkins will be displayed throughout Downtown Dallas for the community to enjoy, and visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite creation for the People’s Choice Award. The Mayor’s Choice Award will also return, giving participants another opportunity to take home bragging rights.
Whether you’re going for spooky, silly, creative, or completely over-the-top, Dallas Main Street encourages everyone to grab a pumpkin and show off your creativity while supporting Downtown Dallas!
