This free, family-friendly event is packed with fun activities and community spirit—and it’s all happening right on Main Street.
The day kicks off with free school supplies (while supplies last) to help students head back to class prepared and confident. In the past, this event has supported over 400 local families, and organizers hope to do even more this year. To make that happen, school supply donations are urgently needed.
Supplies Needed:
Pencils, pens, erasers, highlighters, loose leaf paper, book bags, lunch boxes, glue sticks, safety scissors, and rulers.
Donation Drop-Off Location:
City of Dallas Business Development Office200 Main Street, Dallas, GA 30132📅 Monday–Friday | 🕗 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Closed 12:00–1:00 PM for lunch). For questions, please email Main Street Manager Shannon Gordon at sgordon@dallas-ga.gov.
The block party also features a petting zoo, street performances, a touch-a-truck experience, and a meet and greet with local police officers, offering kids a hands-on, memorable way to engage with their community.
As the day winds down, families are invited to bring their lawn chairs and blankets for a moonlit movie under the stars featuring Disney’s new release, Moana 2—a magical close to a day full of connection and celebration.
